About YooName
YooName is a Named Entity Recognition software that identifies nine named entity categories that split into 100 sub-categories
YooName database and rule system are build using semi-supervised learning techniques.
The system learns to recognize named entities independently by analyzing very large amounts of Web data. It has two advantages over handmade and supervised learning-based systems:
- Extensibility: YooName can learn to recognize virtually any named entity type.. just name it!
- Self-maintenance: YooName maintains and updates its database automatically by continuously crawling the Web.
